Welcome to From the Top Theatrics where we invite you to Act Up! Sing Out! Dance! Give Back! We are an award-winning program having been most recently awarded “Excellence in Music” at the Junior Theatre Festival 2019. Two of our students also won “Outstanding Actor” at the festival.
From the Top Theatrics was created in 2015 by three dynamic women, Jessie Curtis, Cara Jollie and Jenn Loudermilk, known as the Wonder Women. With a combination of the love of theatre and the arts along with the desire to make a positive impact and give back to the community, From the Top Theatrics is the first theatre in the Metro Atlanta area with a sole purpose of donating a portion of ticket sales for all productions to a selected local charity.
Their first production of Aladdin Jr. allowed them to donate $1,134.00 to the Rally Foundation to help research in the fight against childhood cancer. Their second production of Once on This Island Jr. benefited the Georgia Chapter of Camp to Belong in which they donated $575.00.
With Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. they sponsored Simple Needs GA. That production was able to donate $1,125 as well as host a special party for families that Simple Needs GA has helped with their programs. Through this production and the party, they were also an inspiration for Simple Needs to create a program called “Simply Fun“.
Most recently, they were able to break their donation record with Shrek Jr. that benefited Ranger Service Dog Training to donate $1,200. This will go towards helping a disabled Veteran receive a trained service dog.
It is our mission at From the Top Theatrics to donate 10-25% of each production’s ticket sales to various charities within the state of Georgia. Our secondary goal is to provide children, teens, and adults with an enriching and empowering environment in which to grow and self-explore through timeless tradition, cultural education, and the entertainment that theatre provides.
